Zigyt Released in Europe

Zigyt v1.2 released to the European soccer community with its appearance in F.C. Business Magazine. Zigyt runs a user through agility training exercises using a real human voice to call out actions (e.g.: forward/back/left/right) in real-time and in random sequence.
In Europe, where soccer is called football, Mr. Nico Kolokythas Msc, Head of Strength and Conditioning at Wolverhampton University, states: "Agility is everything. Football is only agility. The aim of any training program in football should have the end aim of improving agility. In fact it should be the beginning and the end of all fitness programs.”
For soccer, Zigyt has 10 drills at varying levels of difficulty. The drills are based on the classic Super Shuttle (Cross), Box (4 Cone) and Lateral Shuffle drills. Zigyt adds randomness to these drills which increases their challenge, utility and enjoyment.
Mr. Kolokythas goes on to say “In a game that depends so heavily on agility (in the form of players changing direction at high speed) developing the areas that contribute to agility (strength, flexibility and speed) is key to the overall development of agility in players."
Fitness experts have noted that agility training can be more effective if the athlete has to respond to varying directional commands as it takes away the athlete’s ability to plan the next move. This is precisely what Zigyt does and so more closely mimics a real competitive situation than does executing static agility exercises.
While proper bio-mechanics of drill execution are taught by coaches, trainers and instructors, Zigyt provides a very inexpensive way for the athlete and fitness enthusiast to train on their own, any time and in a variety of settings.
Zigyt features over 20 agility drills grouped by type and degree of difficulty. Drills are also listed by the sport that they can apply to which include (but are not limited to) Tennis, Soccer, Baseball, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Squash and Hockey.
